There have in recent years been six Dorchester Community Plays: Entertaining Strangers 1985; Under the God 1989; Running Still 1996; Fire from Heaven 2002; A Time to Keep 2007 and Drummer Hodge 2014.
The Association has produced an archive of previous plays both because these plays have already become part of our town’s heritage and because they are an invaluable source for research and reference. An as complete as possible archive for each play has been deposited at the Dorset History Centre, Bridport Road, Dorchester, Dorset DT1 1RP Tel: 01305 250550 for public access.
We have some gaps in our records for tsome of the plays apart from A Time to Keep and Drummer Hodge, so if you have any programmes, publicity leaflets, tickets, rehearsal texts, photographs etc. please offer them to us before you throw them away.
